The practice of natural colon cleansing dates back to ancient Greece.

In many of these cases, no quality research has been done to tell whether or not a colon cleansing is helpful.  If you speak with cleansing enthusiasts you may hear a different story.  Do you due diligence before you consider natural colon cleansing.

Firstly, the purpose of cleansing your body is to eliminate accumulated toxins.

It’s a very sound principle: get the junk out and the pipes will run better.

But the theory behind colonics suggests that not everything can be cleansed by diet, exercise and drinking lots of water.

Colonic practitioners believe that old undigested food, especially meat and processed nasties, can stick to the walls of your intestines, putrefy, and slowly release toxins into your bloodstream.

Your New Year’s Resolution to Cleanse Your Mind and Body

A great way to get started on the road to better health is through detoxification and cleansing.

Most everyone accumulates toxins from food additives, alcohol, and cigarette smoke, chemicals from health & beauty products and even in household cleaning products.

Some symptoms that indicate a need for detoxification include chronic headaches or sinus congestion, allergies, recurrent colds/flus or respiratory illness, constipation, joint pain, skin rashes or frequent mood changes.

There are many supplements that can aid in detoxification and support the body during this transition process such as a good overall body cleanse, fiber, Vitamin C, Chlorophyll and a good multi-vitamin to replenish the body during the cleanse.

Practicing meditation and or yoga can also help quiet the mind and restore the soul to overcome negative emotions and tap into a more positive energy source.
