What Happens to My Body When Detoxification Starts?

Some 200,000 people will die this year of problems stem in from their digestive tracts, most notably colon cancer.  These disorders will spur 60,000,000 doctor office visits and cost $120 BILLION in medical expenses and other repercussions.

Ask yourself this important question, if scientists tell us that cancer and heart disease are lifestyle diseases, where diet and nutrition are factors in 60% of women’s cancers, 40% of men’s cancers, and 75% of cardiovascular disease, then why don’t doctors prescribe lifestyle changes including diet and nutrition for both the prevention and treatment of these disease conditions?

Cleansing reactions

For some people, the process of eliminating the stored toxins when detoxification occurs is uncomfortable enough to warrant attention.  These are often the people who can gain the most from taking steps to rebuild their health.  It often happens that someone feels worse after starting a nutritional program eventually feels much better after the initial cleansing reaction is completed.

Fatigue, headache, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mood changes, changing sleep patterns, digestive reactions, aches and pains, allergic symptoms, etc. may occur or increase during the cleansing process.

What type of reaction occurs depends on the unique body chemistry and state of health of each individual.

While most people notice no reaction at all, symptoms usually do not persist more than a few days, but can include, in addition to headaches, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, lethargy, or general malaise.  During the initial detoxification phase, which lasts about 10 days on average, but may last as long as several weeks in a very toxic individual.  The body’s vital energies that usually exist in the external areas of the body, such as muscles and skin, begin to shift to internal organs for the purpose of the reconstruction phase.
